Dear Parishioners,

I recently had a few ideas that I would like to share with you: First, I would like to sponsor a bus for the March for Life on January 19th. As far as I can tell this is the first time we ever sponsored a bus since usually we advertise buses from other parishes. But, I know this is a very pro-life parish and all the buses in the local parishes tend to fill up. So, I am willing to try having our own bus this year. If this is something you would like to be involved in, please let me know. We are still planning the details but we will leave early in the morning, about 7 am.

Second, I would like to install support rails leading up to the altar. As you may notice, some people need a little extra help going up and down the altar steps. So, it was presented to me by the Parish Council that support rails would be a good idea. We are still working on contacting companies for estimates of the cost.

Third, on a completely different note, I am going to be offering another Bible Study starting January 22nd, meeting weekly at 5:30 pm. The current Bible study from the Bible and the Sacraments series is concluding Monday and I think after a break for the Christmas season, it would be good to start again. The new Bible Study will be based on the Gospel of Mark and use study questions and notes from the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible. We will read a chapter every night and answer the study questions together to learn about Our Lord and His ministry. The Bible and the Sacraments series went very well and I thank all those who participated in it.

I am interested in hearing any feedback about these ideas. So, please contact me at toddcarterpriest@gmail.com. If you especially like the March for Life, or support rail, I will also accept pledges for donations for them.

Peace,

Fr. Carter
