Week of December 6, 2020

Categories:

Dear Parishioners,

I have made the Christmas schedule. It is pretty much the same as last year with the addition of a 2pm Vigil and that you need to register for some of the masses beforehand. The mass times are as follows:

Christmas Eve

  • 2 pm (Need to register online)
  • 4 pm (Need to register online)
  • 6pm
  • Midnight

Christmas Day

  • 8am
  • 10am
  • 12 Noon

We have a 200-person limit in Church, so we will need to take precautions at the 2 pm and 4 pm Vigil Masses, which I suspect will be very popular Mass times. First, people will have to register online ahead of time (if you are not tech savvy or don’t have a computer, call the Parish Office and Brenda will do it for you). That form can be found on our parish’s webpage under the “HI” menu option. It is also in a pinned post on our Face- book page. Second, anyone who comes to Mass who is not registered will be invited to go to the gym (until that reaches its 200-person limit) where I’ll have a TV set up to see the livestream from the church. At the proper time, we will have a priest and an EMHC come to the gym to give communion to all those who are at- tending there.

Just to be clear, you do not need to pre-register if you plan to attend any other Mass times. These other Mass times did not reach 200 people last year and I do not expect them to this year either. I will keep you all updated if anything should change. (You may want to join our parish’s email list for the most current updates.)

Lastly, if you are involved with any ministry at church: ushering, sacristan, lectoring or EMHC, please be generous with your time. We need help during Christmas to cover all these Masses and we cannot do it without you.

God bless!

Fr. Carter

P.S. Though it is not mandatory, we will be having our normal Feast Day schedule for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception this Tuesday (5:30 pm Vigil, 7 am, 9 am, 12:10 am and 7 pm).

P.P.S. On the Monday after Christmas, we will celebrate our Parish’s Feast Day with a Sung Traditional Latin Mass at 7 pm. Please feel free to join us then.
