Dear Parishioners,

It is always important to thank our Lord after Holy Communion. The time with our Lord is precious. So, immediately after receiving Him in the Eucharist, we should take time to pray. First in Thanksgiving for all the good things He gives us. Second, in adoration for He is God who makes Himself present. And thirdly in petition for the graces to lead a life pleasing to Him.

In order to aid you to pray, I would like to offer you this great prayer from the treasury of the Church:

ANIMA CHRISTI

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds hide me.
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
In the hour of my death, call me,
and bid me come to Thee, that with Thy saints
I may praise Thee, forever and ever. Amen

God bless!
