Dear Parishioners,
This month begins the season of Advent when we experience the anticipation our ancestors in faith felt for the coming of the Lord. This month, we have many events that will help you participate in Advent more fully.
- December 4th: Begins our new 10 week Bible Study called, “What We Believe: the Beauty of the Catholic Faith. All Catholics should be equipped with an adequate knowledge of the faith and this study should supply people what we believe and why we believe it.
- December 7th at 7 pm in Church, we will host a Eucharistic Encounter. It is a time to praise our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament with music and also a chance to go to confession.
- December 11th at 7 pm in Church, we will be hosting a talk sponsored by the Knights of Columbus on the history of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The discussion will be led by Josue Arriola, the Director for Evangelization and Family Life at the Diocese of Trenton. He will talk about the story of Our Lady, the secrets of her image and how she related to Catholics in the past and how she relates to us today.
- December 13th we will host the yearly Filipino Devotional Mass (leading up to Christmas) known as Simbang Gabi at 7 pm in the Church.
- December 14th at 7 pm in Church, we are having our yearly Christmas Concert called Lessons and Carols.
- December 19th at 6 pm (until 7pm), I will hear confessions in the chapel during Adoration time.
- December 25th is of course Christmas. check the bulletin for the Mass schedule.
- December 28th is the Feast of the Holy Innocents. We will have a traditional Latin Mass at 9 am that morning in celebration of our patron saints.
