Week of December 24, 2023

Dear Parishioners,

I just have a couple scheduling notes for this week’s bulletin.

First: Merry Christmas! I’m so glad you are here to celebrate this wonderful solemnity and I hope Christ blesses you and your family. May you always walk in His ways and love the Lord with your whole heart.

Second: January 1st is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year. So, next weekend, we are keeping the normal Mass schedule.

Third: Thursday December 28th is the Feast of the Holy Innocents, our parish’s patron saints. So, we will have our normal 9 am daily Mass and a special 7 pm Latin Mass with chant.

Fourth: there is no Eucharistic Adoration on the 28th.

Lastly, I would like to offer you a Christmas prayer for peace from Pope St. John XIII:

O sweet Child of Bethlehem,
grant that we may share with all our hearts
in this profound mystery of Christmas.
Put into the hearts of men and women this peace
for which they sometimes seek so desperately
and which you alone can give to them.
Help them to know one another better,
and to live as brothers and sisters,
children of the same Father.
Reveal to them also your beauty, holiness and purity. Awaken in their hearts
love and gratitude for your infinite goodness.
Join them all together in your love
And give us your heavenly peace. Amen.

God bless!

Fr. Carter

We wish you a blessed Christmas!

Sincerely,

The Priests, Deacons & Staff
