Dear Parishioners,

I have a number of short announcements this week.

Next week, Fr. Caesar is returning for his last weekend in the parish before he goes to higher studies in Rome. He will celebrate all the Masses that weekend. So, please make sure you say goodbye to him and thank him for his five years of service in the Parish and especially in the hospital. We will be having a going away gathering for him in the cafeteria, immediately following the Noon Mass on Sunday, August 2nd. You are all invited to attend. (And thanks to all the people who made this gathering possible!)

Registration for the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is open. If you or someone you love would like to join the Catholic Church or you are Catholic but need to complete your sacraments, please call the Parish Office and we will be glad to assist you on this journey. Please also call if you would like to inquire about the Catholic faith.

Religious Education is looking for more volunteers for the Program. Please contact the Office if you are interested. Mary Kate Sternik has been putting a lot of effort into improving the program. So, please support her in this endeavor.

The Bible Study starts again Wednesday, September 23rd. This one is going to be very different because it is focused on the Catechism. If you ever wanted to learn the Catholic faith or refresh yourself on what the Church teaches, this one’s for you.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Annual Catholic Appeal this year. We have more than made our goal. However, only 198 people participated when we need at least 256 to receive 5% more of the donations back to the parish. So, if you have not given yet, please consider doing so.

Lastly, thank you for giving Fr. Jasper a warm welcome during the Mission Appeal weekend. He had a very good time visiting the parish and thanks you all for generously supporting the La Salette Missions.

God Bless!

Fr. Carter
