Dear Parishioners,

As we leave summer and enter into Autumn, I would like to summarize many of the great things that are happening in the Parish this season.

Young Adult Group Joe Dibiase is beginning a Young Adult Group for Catholics who are college-age to midthirties to gather together, pray and to have fellowship. The first meeting is on Saturday September 16th at 6 pm in Building 2 (formerly the Upper Room Spiritual Center). This will be a monthly event and I look forward to seeing what we can do with it. He will be speaking at all the Masses this weekend to promote it.

RCIA and the CARE Class is beginning again Starting this week on Mondays, Jeff Carter will be teaching the class for the Rites of Initiation for Adults. So, if you are in need of sacraments of initiation, please contact the Parish Office. We should be publishing the schedule for this monthly CARE Class as well. CARE is for Catholics who would like to learn more about what the faith teaches in a group setting. So, please stay tuned for that.

On October 1st, we will be having our Parish Picnic after the Noon mass. Fran Burke our CRE has been working hard to organize this event. If you would like to help, please see the flyers in the vestibule for what items you can help bring or how you can help out. It has been a few years since we have had a Parish Picnic and I am glad to see it is back.
On October 20th and 21st, Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculée Ilibagiza will be speaking at our parish for a two day retreat. Please see the advertisement for more details. Immaculée is a world famous speaker and has a very inspiring story. So, I hope you can make it to at least one of the nights.

On November 8th, Bible study is starting again with the Epic Program. For this session, we are focusing on Church history which should be absolutely fascinating. Check the bulletin for more information as we get closer.

Lastly, we are continuing to have our monthly Board Game Night in Building 2. It starts at 5 pm and we will have it the following Fridays: September 15th, October 6th, November 3rd and December 15th. To me, there’s nothing more fun than competing in games of strategy and cooperation and making friends on the way!

God has blessed us with many opportunities to know Him and to love Him. So, I hope that you can come and participate in some of these events. Thank you to all the various people who make it possible. Feel free to contact us at the Parish Office if you have any questions.

God bless!

Fr. Carter
