Fr.MikeIIDear brothers and sisters,

Well, this past Tuesday I reported to Bishop O’Connell to begin a new assignment. While this is exciting, I have sadness in leaving Holy Innocents Church and School. I would like to thank all of you for your support and for making me feel at home in the parish. These last almost four years have been amazing. It has been great to have the opportunity to serve here and I would like to remind you all that you will remain in my prayers. I would like to request your prayers also, as I begin the work of Vocations. May God bless us with many workers for the harvest. I will always have a special place in my heart for Holy Innocents and I look forward to coming to visit.

I also would like to congratulate Rev. Todd Carter who begins this week as the new Administrator of Holy Innocents. Fr. Carter is young and hard-working. He’s a talented priest who is very devoted. I am confident that he will serve you well here as your new spiritual leader, and I wish him many blessings as he begins his walk of faith with you. Holy Innocents is a wonderful community and I am truly happy that a personal friend of mine will be guiding you. I would like to leave you with the words of St. Charles Borromeo, “God wishes us not to rest upon anything but His infinite goodness; do not let us expect anything, hope anything, or desire anything but from Him, and let us put our trust and confidence in Him alone.”

Many blessings,

Fr. Mike
