Dear Parishioners,
This week, we have the financial statement published in the middle of
the bulletin. So, please check that out. I encourage you all to continue
and increase your donations to the parish so that we can remain stable
in the future. Right now we are highly dependent on our rental income
which is not a good place to be. See the letter for details.
Other than that, I have the following announcements and reminders:
– Fr. Enel Almeus will also be starting as a Chaplain in the hospital
in a couple weeks. I neglected to mention him previously when I
announced Fr. Aleks because I was unaware that he was officially
announced in the Trenton Monitor as well. Fr. Almeus comes from
Brooklyn and is a Holy Ghost Father. He will be residing in Mother
of Mercy Parish in Asbury Park.
– Religious Education registrations are coming to a close. So, if you
have a child that needs to continue or begin their Catholic
Education, please register them before Wednesday, September 9th.
– Bible Study begins in a couple weeks. So, if you are interested in
learning more about the Catechism of the Catholic Church, please
register for that.
– OCIA classes are beginning soon. If you need the sacraments of
initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion or Confirmation) and you
are an adult, please contact us soon. Due to the schedule of the two
people who signed up so far, we are holding class on Wednesday
mornings. However, accommodation can be made for people who can’t
meet at that time.
– Lastly, Holy Land Christian Art will be selling art from the Holy
Land next week in order to support Christians in the Holy Land.
God Bless!
Fr. Carter
