Week of March 29, 2020

Dear Parishioners,

As we enter into week 2 of Mass being suspended, I would like to share with you ways to keep in touch with the parish. Ironically, I know that most of you will probably read this on the Internet already. (I also plan to post all these bulletin articles on Facebook.) But, please share it with other people who may not know about the ways we are reaching out.

If you are on Facebook, please like our parish’s page. (It can be found at https:// www.facebook.com/HolyInnocentsNeptune/) Anything that I produce for the internet will be posted there.

If you are not on Facebook, please periodically check our parish’s webpage. (Which is https:// holyinnocentschurch.net/) Anything posted to the Facebook page will also appear on the website.

If you want to be directly alerted, feel free to reach out to me at toddcarterpriest@gmail.com. I am creating a parish email list.
This past Sunday I shared three things. They are:

  • A video announcement talking about how everything is going in the parish. It is somewhat supplementary to last week’s bulletin article.
  • A video of my homily for this past Sunday.
  • The text of my parish bulletin letter.

I think I will be spacing these things throughout the week from here on out. I will have the homily on Sundays, the bulletin article on Thursdays and the announcement videos as needed. But I would like to keep them going. I am also open to running an online Bible Study if people want to hear me talk about the Bible weekly. So, what things would you like to see? Please let me know.

Lastly, as you all know our Church is highly dependent on the contributions of our parishioners. If you are able, please continue to make your weekly donations to the Church. Some people have asked me if they can drop off checks or send them into the office. You can send checks to the Parish Office and our business administrator will deposit them once a week. However, please do not send any cash money. I do not want people stealing mail because they think there might be money in it. The best way to give is through online giving. Go to our webpage, on the upper right-hand corner is a “Parish Giving” icon and please click that link for details. (I am told it’s easier than expected.)

As always, you are all in my prayers as we experience this time apart. Stay safe and be well.

God bless!

Father Carter
