Dear Parishioners,
On June 7th Holy Innocents School will host its last graduation after more than 50 years of operation as a Catholic grade school of the Diocese of Trenton. With the closure of our School, Holy Innocents Church has negotiated a lease for the shared use of the school building with the College Achieve Charter School of Greater Asbury Park and Neptune, a successfully operating charter school that wishes to relocate to better facilities at our site in Neptune.
As the site has been an elementary grade school for more than 50 years we are hopeful that the building will continue to be an elementary grade school for many years to come. Holy Innocents Church and the College Achieve Charter School are asking for your support by attending the Neptune Zoning Board hearing scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 7:30 PM, Municipal Complex Room, 2nd floor meeting room.
We believe the church has been a good neighbor and contributor to the community with its many programs, religious and social service, since the founding of the parish in 1959 and wish to continue to utilize our facilities for the best use possible in the Neptune community.
The parish will be hosting an open house on Tuesday evening, April 30th at 7:00 PM in the school building where you can meet the management of the College Achieve Charter School of Greater Asbury Park & Neptune and ask questions about their school and the use of the property.
If you are unable to attend the open house on April 30th and the zoning board hearing on May 1st we hope that you can show your support by sending letters or e-mails to the Mayor, the Township Committee members, and the President of the School Board.
God bless!
Father H. Todd Carter
