Dear Parishioners,
As Christmas approaches, I know that a number of people reading this may be visitors to Church. To them I say: Welcome back, we’re glad to have you! God’s house is open to all people and God bless you for choosing to come to Mass this night. If there is anything I or the parish staff can do to help you practice your faith, feel free to reach out. (See the bulletin for the office number or contact me directly toddcarterpriest@gmail.com)
For those of you who are Catholic but do not practice regularly, I invite you to come to confession. We have it every Saturday regularly at 2:30 pm, and also by appointment. Confession is a place of healing and grace for anyone who desires it.
For those of you who struggle with the faith or are in an irregular situation that you know the Church considers sinful, feel free to contact me to talk about it. Christ can see you through any situation if you trust in Him.
For those of you who have considered becoming Catholic or need to complete your sacraments, feel free to reach out to me personally and I will help you with that.
For those of you who do not actually believe, I pray that you do receive the gift of faith and again I am open to any questions you might have about it.
Christmas is a naturally joyful time and it brings back great memories of time with loved ones and security from the normal grind of the year. But it is just a drop in the ocean of joy that comes from actually knowing and following Our Lord Jesus Christ who is the only one who saves us and gives meaning to our lives. I pray that all people may come to know Him and to love Him.
God Bless!
Fr. Carter
P.S. This Saturday at 9 am is the Feast of the Holy Innocents Traditional Latin Mass. Feel free to come out and celebrate our patronal feast day.
