Dear Parishioners,
I hope you have all noticed the work that has been done around the campus. Thanks to generous donations we have put sod down on the lawn, added flowers outside and our landscaper even donated his time to plant the flowers. Inside the Church, we have installed cabinets in the sacristy near the altar and we are now doing most Mass preparation there. So far, I have received very positive feedback about this from the sacristans and it feels like we are using the space we have, more efficiently. Again, much of this is because of donations and we are constantly looking to improve our Church.
Here are some other improvements we can look forward to in the near future:
- New floor tile for the sanctuary.
- New Murals to decorate the sanctuary.
- A mounted camera to film and/or live stream activities in Church. This may be up and running by the time this is published.
- A Carallon bell system for outside the Church.
- New signs to make it clear which buildings are which on the campus.
I feel very confident that we can afford this because over the last year the Parish has had a surplus of funds (for the first time in many years) and people have generously donated to the Decoration and Renovation Fund in the second collection. Improving our Church is a sign of life for the parish and I am very thankful to everyone who makes it possible.
God bless!
Fr. Carter
