Dear Parishioners,
I invite you to come to, or pray for, any of these events that we are having in the month of October:
- October 2nd at 6 pm Traditional Latin Mass on the Feast of the Guardian Angels. The last Latin Mass went so well, we are having another Sung Mass with Christa Dalmazio singing. I think Sung Latin Mass has a huge impact on people who attend it and I hope that more and more people see the beauty of this form of the liturgy.
- October 12th at 6 pm UNPLANNED movie. We will be showing the movie in the school cafeteria. If you have never seen it before, you owe it to yourself to see it. It’s a great pro-life movie that I think can be a really great conversation starter with those who are on the fence or even pro-choice. The movie puts a lot of effort into letting the other side have their say. But, ultimately, when abortion and its effects are shown for what it is, it is obvious that people of good conscience cannot be for it. It’s very much worth watching.
- October 13th at 11:15 am Consecration of the Parish to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We will be consecrating our parish that Sunday between the 10 am and 12 Noon Masses. It is on the anniversary of the Fatima apparitions and I think it will be a great source of grace and renewal for our parish. I invite everyone who would like to participate. We will be meeting near the statue of Our Lady of Fatima in Mary’s Prayer Garden (to the right of the front doors of the Church).
- October 18th starting at 5 pm Parish Game Night. I always have a lot of fun at these events and I love playing games. Feel free to hang out with us in the school cafeteria!
- October 31 and November 1st Solemnity of All Saints. This is a Holy Day of Obligation following the normal schedule for Holy Day Masses: 5:30 pm Vigil, 7 am, 9 am, 12:10 pm and 7 pm.
Also, our Music Director, Christa Dalmazio will be holding placement auditions (children Grades 2 thru 6) for the Childrens Choir on October 1st and 8th at 5:15 pm in the Church. This is a brand new group that she is starting and I hope that we can convince a couple young voices to offer their talents in Holy Mass. For details, please contact Christa christadalmazio@gmail.com.
God bless!
Father Carter
